2^nd and 3^rd shift positions available.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform welding operations to production and quality standards.
• Complete all required paperwork and computer transactions in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve weld issues.
• Report quality issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Proficiency in MIG welding through education and/or work experience.

• Read, interpret blueprint drawings and shop papers
• Knowledge of safety standards for equipment being run
• Proficient in basic mathematics
• Ability to easily adapt to changing environment

2^nd shift hours:  3:30pm – 12:00am; Monday – Friday.

3^rd shift hours:  10:30pm – 7:00am; Sunday – Thursday.

Overtime opportunity as workload demands.

Northern Metal Products is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Laser Set-Up/Operator.

This position would be responsible for daily set-up and operation of sheet metal lasers and tube
lasers.

Responsibilities:

•  Set up and operate sheet metal lasers and tube lasers.
•  Ability to work with closes tolerances.
• Experience with CNC controls.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regards to
  all of the essential duties and responsibilities.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

• Able to understand and execute basic written and verbal instructions given in English.
• Read/interpret drawings and shop papers.
• Ability to accurately read and measure with standard measuring devices, such as calipers,
  micrometers, height, and radius gages.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail—able to spot and correct issues before they
  become problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative production team

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years CNC set-up/adjustment experience; loading programs, adjusting part
  offsets, adjusting tool offsets and adjusting programs.

2nd shift hours: 3:30pm – 12:00am Monday-Friday OR 3:30pm – 2:00am Monday-Thursday

We are seeking an experienced Amada Press Brake Set-Up Operator for our 2nd or 3rd shift team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating Amada press brake equipment to bend, form, and produce precision sheet metal parts according to blueprints, job travelers, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, safety, and on-time production.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Amada press brake machines to form sheet metal parts to print and specification.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, job travelers, bend sequence information, and inspection requirements.
• Select, install, and align proper tooling, dies, and fixtures for each job.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain part quality, dimensional accuracy, and production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, including quantities, scrap, setup information, and quality checks.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, material, or quality issues to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, safe material handling, and lockout/tagout requirements as applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Requirements:

• Previous press brake set-up and operation experience required; Amada experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and production documentation.
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming, bend allowances, tooling selection, and press brake safety practices.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, height gauges, or similar inspection equipment.
• Strong shop math skills, including fractions, decimals, angles, and basic geometry.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize jobs, and maintain quality standards in a production environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required for the role.
• Ability to bend, reach, grip, and handle sheet metal parts safely.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.

Schedule

• 2nd shift schedule – flexible. (4) 10’s 3:30pm – 2:00am, or (5) 8’s 3:30pm –12:00am
• 3rd shift schedule – flexible. (4) 10’s 8:30pm – 7:00am, or (5) 8’s 10:30pm – 7:00am
• Full-time position
• Overtime may be available based on production needs
